Diets Don’t Work!
There’s not a lot you can tell me about dieting…I’ve tried the lot. Slimming World, Weight Watchers, fad diets, shakes and pills. The one thing that they all have in common is that they just don’t work. And here’s why…
Diets usually have an end date..and then what?? We go back to what we know and put the weight back on, and often more!
Diets come with a one size fits all program and none of us are the same, so what may work for one person, may not work for another.
Diets can sometimes mean that we are starving ourselves and have to constantly say no to foods that we love…”I’ll just have a salad.”
Diets generally get in the way of our lifestyle and therefore are doomed to fail, until the next one!
- A basic understanding of the food groups is essential to help us make the right choices within our lifestyle. When we make the right choices, we will feel fuller, satisfied and avoid unhealthy snacking.
- Making sure we are eating enough of the right foods to fuel our body will result not only in weight loss, but in body fat loss which is ultimately what we all want.
By making the right choices within our lifestyle, we have no need for an end date, or a day off…this is just the way we eat, all the time, even on holiday, birthdays and nights out!
If it takes a little longer to lose weight and you manage to keep it off without being hungry, miserable and no fun to be around, then surely that’s a better option.
The best diet to be on is the one you don’t know you are on!
