Before you take off when you’re traveling on a plane they tell you that in case of an emergency, the oxygen mask drops and you should secure your own before trying to help anyone else?

Well, life is the same!

If you’re not taking proper care of yourself then how can you take care of other important things in your lives – your family, your friends, your careers, your hobbies, passions, and interests. If you don’t give anything to yourself, you’ll have nothing to give to anyone or anything else.

Self-care is to humans what gas is to cars; it’s the fuel that keeps you going. And without it, you might be able to run on fumes for a while, but eventually you’ll  putter out and stall – or worse, crash and burn.

And it also has a direct impact on your health.
